Katie Hepworth

I joined Westwood Vets in September 2021 and I am currently completing my Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing at Askham Bryan College.

Before working at Westwood Vets I completed a course in Animal Nursing and Welfare as an introduction to my nursing apprenticeship.

My favourite aspect of the job is caring for inpatients and assisting with their surgeries. I also particularly enjoy the diagnostic part of nursing, which includes laboratory work and conducting x-rays.

At home I currently have a 6 year old Cavapoo called Smudge, who enjoys lots of treats, cuddles and trips to work with me.

In my spare time I enjoy going on family holidays in our caravan, spending time with friends and baking when I can.

I am looking forward to qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse and I am especially excited to see what my future career holds.
